does it hurt a f250 gas motor to bumper pull 10,000 lbs?
I know diesel has more torque but just a simple question for my phycological purchase. does 10,000 lb towing put strain on a gas motor enough to make it hurt it?

Driving your truck empty puts a strain on the system..........Yes heavier loads puts more strain on the system........A truck is a tool, designed to do certain things. I run down the road with a motor that has less HP, torque etc, at 26000 lbs than your new to you 6.2 V8 Gas puts out. Its a diesel granted. but I would still run down the road with the 6.2 gas V8 in the truck at 26000 with out thinking twice. Thats GVW, not GCW! upwards of 30-35K gcw! You're not even working that motor!
