Does silicone have any place on a travel trailer?

Hi, I saw a post on FB where a guy had some GE silicone in his "emergency stash" of sealants. I went out and bought what he had. However, now I see people saying NOT to use silicone. Can I use thi...

DIcor and Eternabond are good for the roof, but not the best choice for sidewalls and what not.
Most RV Manufacturers use Geocel Proflex on vertical surfaces.
