If you're really curious, rent. After a few weeks of dealing with pump outs, propane, leaking plumbing, being trapped in a small space when the weather sucks, cramped or outdoor showers, micro-waved food, insects, dead batteries, etc., etc. you may decide a TC isn't for you. On the other hand, you may love it.
I cannot begin to understand why anyone would post something as discouraging as this. I bought a camper that was several years old. I have used it for 7 years including 2 years full time.
I don't even know what a "pump out" means. I suppose that means draining the black waste tank. I don't have one. I have a cassette toilet that is easy to deal with. I have never seen propane as an issue. I have two tanks. Each tank lasts me close to 2 months and I merely stop and have it filled. I did have a plumbing leak of sorts. My pump oozed a few drops from the seals so I replaced it for $80. My shower is not "cramped". I have plenty of height and turning space. I rarely use my micro wave. I cook regular meals on my stove. I have never had a dead battery. Mine are 7 years old and maintenance free. I was thinking of replacing them but they tested out fine.
I do understand that plenty of people do not like the outdoors, or camping, or RVs, or truck campers. I cannot understand why someone who does not like truck campers would post here.
