Does your freshwater tank drain fast?

40 minutes for 45 gal.

I never thought about running the pump to empty the fresh water tank. I just waited for it to drain out of the itty bitty drain for the tank. I dont know how long it takes - I just open the valve and walk away

On a side note: I could empty both 50 gallon fresh water tanks in my 5er in about 30 seconds.

Of course there was a 2" pipe with a knife valve in it that they would empty through.

It does take a while to drain the fresh tank. I flush and fill at least twice before I head out. I most always go with a 3/4 to full tank. I do not have the ability to refill where I might go. Plus our water is famous for it's taste and purity. It takes about 45-55 minutes for my tank to drain. Then again my 990 holds lots of water. I drain every time I pull back into the yard so it is dry to take the weight off the jacks when dismounted from the truck.

My toyhauler had a 1 1/2" drain right at the tank. It wouldn't take long at all to drain 100 gallons. My truck camper has a a small, I'm guessing 3/8" ID hose that takes quite awhile. When I come home from a trip I park the truck up the driveway and start the draining right away.

Personally, I fill and flush my tank at least once before every trip.

Do you open up the faucets to allow air in? This makes a big differnce on my water draining faster.

Yes mine drains slow from the gravity drain. However if I change the shut of valves the correct way I can drain the tank via the pump. Then drains the whole tank in about 10 minutes compare to 1 hour gravity drain.
