YES......moving the 'thermistor' (temp sensor in the clip) UP/DOWN will affect fridge temps on YOUR model (Auto Temp Control----no temp adjustment on panel) BUT it only makes minor temp changes 4*F to 6*F
UP.....more cooling
DOWN...less cooling
But that would not be reason for FROZEN items
LOSS OF Temp Sensing would
LIMP MODE
If temp sensing is lost fridge goes into 'limp mode' operation
YOUR model limp mode is CONTINUOUS cooling ....doesn't turn off
So items FREEZE in food compartment
Bad thermistor most likely cause......
Dirty/bad contacts on lower circuit board where thermistor leads plug in (P2)
Bad circuit board.....
