Ordered a new Amish Built cooling unit for our Dometic fridge today. Should be delivered in a couple days. $748.00 with UPS. I decided on new rather than rebuilt. Looking forward to getting back out ...

I had to do it twice, in a truck camper is about as tight as it gets. First compressor unit failed on startup. Using dowels allowed it to line right up. Good luck!
Compressor failed on startup? That's not very reassuring. Did you let the fridge sit a few hours to let the lubricant and coolant settle down after all the handling during Installation or did instructions mention anything about it. I will check instructions but currently plan to let the system settle 24 hours.
