Awful.
If you need lift, then use plywood on the bed floor. This will prevent all these weak bed issues. Search for how people store their camper. I followed the idea to cut a 4x8 sheet of ply-wood into quarters and make two X's that fit together via slots. I store these 4 pieces under the TC on the bed, and they also would have prevented damage to the bed. I need the 3/4 plywood to give me enough height to clear the bed rails, and also have storage stands with me at all times if I ever need to take TC off and leave it on a stable platform.
The plywood is not a 4x4 of course but just make up the difference with 3 inch wood pieces of course.There will be forum faux-pax that suggest that plywood is not as high as a 4x4 is the only reason I say this bc I think some users are themselves high when they comment, lol.
