Because:

#1. Dodge manual transmissions are not know for failing.

#2. The CP4 series pumps that come on Fords (and GM's for that matter) are.

As Ben would say: the bell curve on the Ford pump failure is to one side and the failure rate of the Dodge manual tranny bell curve isn't.
