Color me a retired Fire Fighter. As an operator/engineer my job was to check out every system once a day. Engine lug nuts no. Light Rescue Ambulance lugs yes. Just part of my safety routine. I check tire pressure, fluid levels, lug nuts, Tie downs, vents, compartment doors, Jack positon, before I turn the key each day. I also do a walk around everytime I start up to eyeball everything and to check for low overhangs and obstuctions before I stat moving again
