Door sticker says never exceed 1263 lbs of cargo/passengers.
What!? That can't be right. I've found many other sources on line that state the payload as 1889 lbs. What gives here? My truck is a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic.

You'd have to ask the manufacturers. They all do it. They prevent us from going to the USA to buy a new vehicle by threatening to remove franchise rights if any dealer is caught knowingly selling to Canadians, and they also refuse to honor the warranty. Dirty rotters!
It raises quite a ruckus with those who live close to the USA border (Toronto area, close to Detroit) and could save $10k by driving 30 min - especially when the dollar was at par. Right now, a CDN dollar is about $0.91 USD I think.
