I came face to face with the RV reality of what living near the coastal lowlands of California really means. I sent my wife over to a certain RV dealer and repair shop in Dublin Ca to buy some antifreeze for the TC water system. They didn't have any and no one had ever asked them for it before either:SOf course Wally World down the street had a rack 8 feet high and 8 feet wide filled with gallon jugs of it:B

That's like trying to find antifreeze windshield washer fluid in southern Arizona.

Does it freeze in Dublin CA? I have been there often and seems like it is sunny and warm pretty much all year.

Yes forcast calls for a low of 19 degrees tomorrow night here in Atascadero. glad I got mine at O'Riley's last week. It was half price of the rv dealer antifreeze that was alcohol.

Maybe there is a Walmart near that dealer. I think it was $2.97 when I bought it . Seems to work ok, been using it for years down to -25F with no problems.

There are those of us that head off to the mountains year round. Going to Yosemite Friday should be snowing and 15 at night with highs in the mid 30s. perfect for snow shoeing in the meadows.

It's in the 80-90's here, had some 100 degree days, and it's only early in our

Long Hot Summer! But our Winters only go down to mid 50's.

Don't feel bad. First year I had mine I stopped at a local RV dealer here in southern PA for antifreeze and they had none. I guess they never put water in any of the RV's they have on the lot. I got mine at Lowes...

"A hard freeze down to 24-28". We may get UP to that in the daytime!! :B

I've been thinking about a trip to Death Valley in Feb. Worried about finding a Dealer down there who knows how to winterize before my return home.

that's funny. although with our temperatures right now here at home...im thinking it just might be okay to live somewhere where they don't stock rv antifreeze.

All this talk about anti freeze etc reminds me of something an old time RVer that was going South for the winter.

When asked how far South he was going - he said he was going to tie a snow shovel on the back of his RV and go South until someone asked him what it was.
