Shows how stupid this group is by stating it was 1/8 of a mile.
1/8 mile = 660 ft.
It would be interesting to know what the rear end ratios were. In a short drag like this it is mostly about who has the lowest first gear overall ratio.
My guess is the Ram got the short end in this test. - Looks like amateur hour to me, racing with the window down and the left elbow casually resting on the door to attempt to look cool. I was expecting the Hemi to be faster, but the winner is not a surprise. These are all 6000+ lb heavy weight crew cab trucks. In the real world for every day driving, there would be very little noticeable difference. It would be very interesting to see the same trucks tested in a proper 1/4 mile with a real driver. I'm guessing the 6.2 Chevy would come out on top.
- Im not a fan of racing 7,000 pound trucks.
- I guess "fast lane truck" magazine needed to fill /waste some space.
bumpy - If I wanted to drive like that I wouldn't have bought a truck.
Use the right tool for the job. - It's amazing what low end torque does ain't it.
