Driving with refrigerator on

Hi,

We are making a 7 hour drive today to Yosemite, we have always just kept our refrigerator to on and plugged into our truck for shorter trips. Do we need to turn the propane on to keep the refrigerator going for this long trip or can we just keep it working from our vehicle? Thanks!

    Could you please share what year, brand, and model of RV and fridge you have?

    If you have a 3-way refrigerator it will run on 12 volt just fine. But having a 3-way refrigerator is pretty rare except in popups. If you don't have a 3-way refrigerator, you will need to run it on propane if you want to keep it running while you're traveling.
    Now it's time to go pop the popcorn and get a beer and sit back for the entertainment.
