All of the disadvantages the OP addressed are not an issue to me and not a disadvantage at all. I have no problems with anything mentioned above. "Wet grass" is a new one. Even "slippery wet grass" is not an issue. That's why the truck has 4x4!
If there is one disadvantage, it has to be the width of the fenders. Unfortunately, we had a "hit and run" in a parking lot. Someone backed into the fender and put a crease in it, then ran. I've not had the fender fixed, as it was fixed once already on our insurance claim by another event similar. This crease is not near as bad as the first experience, so I figure, I'll wait for someone to clobber the finder again and then get the whole thing fixed (If I can catch them in the act)! If there is a disadvantage, that's it... other drivers!
BUT .... the REAL advantage of the dully is the rock-steady stability when towing! This is the reason I bought the truck. You can't beat it!
