I have DRW and go thru MOST drive-thrus. I find that the length of the vehicle is more of a problem in drive-thrus then the fact that it is a DRW (I have a CC long bed).
My DRW does just fine in wet grass, especially when it has 3000 pounds of pin weight in the bed. I think if it was an SRW, it might make ruts in wet grass or soft ground, which might be a bigger problem.
I do not rotate my rears and they are all wearing exactly the same - solid rear axle.
I did add tire valve extensions to all 6 wheels.
I really like my DRW and would not trade it for an SRW. It's a pain in parking lots but hooked up to a 5er and going down the highway is where these babies really shine - super stable and very confidence inspiring. Nothing much affects them - you can steer with one hand in a hurricane.
