I get it now. :S
You can simulate why a dually is more stable by standing on a level floor and spreading your legs. It is very simple, your body responds exactly like the suspension on a pick up.
Also The more tires you put on the ground the more stable it is. it is just that simple and has got nothing to do with lbs per square inch of pressure on the patch.
