Instead of going back and forth, try the following:
Go to a playground with a buried bucket loader tire (0 psi, agree?), try push on the sidewall, see if it even budges.
Now go to a truck wreck yard, find a G rated 11r22.5 tire, push on the sidewall. Should move, but still super stiff, right?
Find a P rated car tire, push on it again.
Find a bicyle tire, push on the sidewall.
All 4 tires are at 0 psi, correct? Massive difference in sidewall lateral stiffness.
If you STILL don't agree, think about how a run-flat tire works. Why can you drive on it with 0 psi, but not a normal tire? Ever felt one at the tire store to see how stiff they are?
