If I were to buy a new truck for mainly truck camper and sometimes towing with or without the camper, I would do a DRW cab and chassis for higher GVW and convert it to single wheel high capacity wheels and tires and flat bed body for off highway capability.
If I were staying mainly on roads I would leave it DRW.
We have both in the family fleet and one advantage DRW has is leaving the rear tire pressure reduced for ride and flotation without having to air up and down. Also the rear wheel pair straddles potholes SRW fall into on rough roads and streets.
