I bought a 16k gvwr toyhauler back in 2010. I wasn't planning on buying one, but it was a very good deal. I had a CC 4wd 2005 F250 at the time with airbags. It pulled our old 10k 5'er very well. On the drive home with the toyhauler I knew I had to buy a dually. It was white knuckle driving. Turns out that 16k 5'er had a 3700 lb pin weight. I bought a DRW F350, and it was so much more stable. I eventually bought a 2018 F450. It pulls so good you could forget that you're towing. Last year we bought a 20k gvwr toyhauler, and I couldn't feel a difference in towing it vs the older one. The F450 is easier to maneuver than the old SRW short bed.
