Seriously RV’s don’t stop adding weight at their GVWR. Mine is 21k and I am at 24k.

Could some post each brands rear axle capacity, GVW, and combo GVW for SRW? Also, add stock tire capacity. Be curious to see them.

We towed our last fifth wheel , gwvr 16000 with both a SRW and then a DRW . The DRW diesel was by far the better tow vehicle hands down . No need to worry about extra weight or carrying water or any of the issues trying to stay under the SRW rawr . The Use of the DRW for daily use was not a big deal for us but we did have a small beater car for when we were home for running errands. Either truck was always parked out of the crowd at stores or restaurants. Never heard anyone complain about having to much truck!

Well for comfort pulling 14,000# to 16,000# GVWR 5er with a starting pin of 2,600# just get a DRW. The size of the hips will grow on you, you will love the stability.

The low dry pin weight was what made this work. No W/D up front and no gen set. Starting with a trailer with a 3K dry pin weight and you will be hard pressed to make it work. I would note that our truck was loaded heavy with eu2000i, fuel, tools, golf clubs, Demco picture frame and B&W slider hitch.

People that haul big campers and large 5ers seem to like DRW trucks. But they are not so handy to drive in town. A lot of them have ripped fenders. They don't really fit in town.

I have used a SRW F-350 as a daily driver for decades. A DRW vehicle seems much more specialized and great for towing if you have another vehicle for going to town.
