Like I said previously, you are over fueling the engine, pull the aftermarket chip, whatever it is. The engine can stand around 1200-1300 degrees for a short time before the aluminum pistons start to get wonky.
I have no idea what it cost now. I did mine in 1998 with all stainless steel pipe and I TIG welded on stainless hangers. It's as good today as when I installed it.
