Since my Lance is presently on the truck, I went ahead and took a look behind the low door. The space between my camper and aluminium bed side looks narrow, so it would take precise measurement to figure out if golf-cart batteries would fit there.
I had GC batteries in my bus conversion, but since going on vacations with camper - I am leaving cars and other toys behind, I pull the car batteries to use on my TC.
Another consideration is weight distribution.
My lance is having most of the heavy stuff on passenger side and it visible leans when I park it on level spot (now when I don't have any beer in storage under dinette). Adding heavy batteries would call for putting them on opposite side.
