I have a set of 315 Destination AT on order, which will be in Friday, but will, most likely, cancel. A couple of issues came up after more research:
- not concerned so much about gearing change with power loss, but the tranny will hate it, as it barely hangs in there right now when pulling
- rubs the mud flaps and control arms a bit at full lock on stockers
- a bear to turn when stopped, meaning pump may not be able to handle it
- though E rated may still be too squishy on stock wheels; 9" wide or larger required
- steers the truck in bad weather
-my tires actually did very well this weekend pulling in some nasty rain and getting the truck up a fairly sloppy 2 track at the campsite.
So, saying all this, maybe a 285/70 or 75 would be a better option; my cousin has a set of 285/70's on his 08 Quad short bed that look nice and wide, but are 8 ply. He pulls a 2 horse goose-neck so not a huge issue for him. Wish I could remember the brand.
