I've run both the Toyo M/T and the A/T. The AT2 looks similar but I haven't tried it. My thoughts are:
-The M/T has a LOT of tread squirm. I didn't like feel while towing. I wouldn't say they were unstable, more just made handling "vague" and the van was a lot less responsive especially when swerving around deer.
-The A/Ts are really more of a highway tire. I was really disappointed with them on ice. The rubber got noticeably harder in cold weather, vs the M55 rubber which stays nice as soft in all conditions. As a result, winter performance is WAY better yet the M55s are comparable in dry conditions.
-I get double the life with the M55s over A/Ts and the M/Ts wear even faster.
Some other notes: Les Schwabs told me the sidewall construction makes them laterally stiffer. It's probably why they handle as well as the A/Ts even though the rubber is softer. Also, mud-tirestend to to worse than A/Ts in all conditions other than mud.
