Dual Wheel Valve Stems

Hey guys, for those of you who run duallys on your truck how do you deal with the hassle of adding/checking the air in your rear tires? I’m considering some valve stem extensions or some all new metal valve stems that are long enough to air up easily.

Thoughts?

Just get the correct air pressure gauge and it's no big deal. Adding air is the same thing.

I've had three different sets of extensions, and all three leaked. One set leaked immediately, one leaked after a couple months, and one set lasted nearly three years, but also rubbed on the sidewall of the tire and darned near wore through the sidewall. Now I just use a proper tire pressure gauge.

I do this, a 2 sided gauge. The biggest problem that I've had is Les Schwab techs being smart enough to offset rear wheels when having them rotated and in a couple of instances, removing the valve cap on the inner tire.

  • Borg valve stems. You have to take the tires off and replace your existing stems.
