Thanks for the replies. Guess I will have to travel to the dealer and cut the ac on and see how loud it actually is. The ducted sure looks better but unfortunately one of the ones we like does not come ducted.
Hearing the AC noise at the dealership is not a true representation of the noise that you would hear in a campground, but go ahead and listen to it.
As many have said, it depends on the openness of the floor plan and where your bed is in relation to the AC unit. If the floor plan is open then it is OK but if it is not then you well not get adequate cooling, especially in the hotter months. The floor plan in question looks doable except for the bathroom, whose door you would need to leave open to keep the bathroom cool. Another consideration is the fact that you'd have to turn up your TV or radio in order to hear them over the AC. With ducted this is not so much of a problem.

My previous hybrid had non-ducted but it was an open floor plan so cooling was good. The noise was also useful as white noise to block out the noise of other campers - very BIG feature of a noisy AC.
That said, the floorplan I have now would not support non-ducted and ducted was one of the must-haves when we decided to upgrade. Now I do appreciate the quiet, but do occasionally hear outside noises but that I can live with.
Long story short - ducted is better, IMO, and I am sure that you can find a floorplan that will be to your liking and will have ducted AC. Good luck.
