Well you could be me, and put the THIRD Cummins into your Dodge by the time the thing had 80,000 miles on it!
The early 24-valves have a nasty block-cracking habit if they’re Casting Number 53, which most were! I about sold it and bought one like yours but was so far into it I just fixed it.
Now you have to do the big decision, do I spend more than I’ll ever get out of this truck fixing it, or do I give it away broken for almost nothing and buy another - for even more $$. I still wonder if I made the right call.
