I always use a hose, less mess to clean up. Two weeks ago, Sunday morning at our local state park, we had a line of trailers ready to use the dump facilities. Some got their hose out of the rear bumper, no gloves, some had the hose stored in a compartment, no gloves. While I was waiting I put my gloves on and had my bottle of water and bleach handy to help speed up the process. I carry my hose in a storage tube that I use plus I have another longer one that I use at a full hookup sites. The campground has signs, no dumping of gray water but I never see anyone from the pop up and tent area dumping their waste.
