dump valve sticking

My tt is a couple of monthes old, the grey water valve is sticking, i put spray on lithium grease on rod, but it's still sticking, any suggestions appreciated.
  • PB BLASTER on rod and up chute while valve is closed. Work back and forth. End of problem
  • Your handle slides in and out of a square plastic piece...drill a small hole in the middle of the square housing...screw in a grease zerk so you can shoot grease into the housing....work it back and forth and if it starts sticking again, shoot some more grease

you referred to the up chute, pleass excuse me but I'm not familiar with what the up chute is.
  • Silicone grease, which is slippery but inert, so it won't screw up the seals. PB Blaster is citrus oil, which will eat seals. It's good on metal - rubber/plastic not so much.
  • I was taught this by old RV guy : pour a cap full of vegetable oil in tank s when you drive down the road.it will not hurt anything, valves work better than new.ive been doing this since 1994 ,no problem......Ken
