Hate to break it to you but the little Cummins was known as a throw away engine long before the Neverstart and Dmax came along. Ford used the throw away Cummins decades ago in their medium duty trucks.

And Ford STILL uses the Cummins in their MDT's...it is, in fact, the ONLY diesel available...it also sees wide use in Freightliner MDT's and Blue Bird school buses.
