Know what you mean. Our 03 2500 Hd Silverado Duramax diesel just had a fuel injector go bad on a recent trip. We were towing heading toward Savannah, GA from Stone Mt. Ga. when it started making a noise on acceleration and black smoke started coming out the tailpipe. Made to the rv park, took it to a Chevy dealer in Savannah. They did a diagnostic and found one bad injector on the left side. We had them go ahead and replace all four on that side at a cost of $2534. We didn't want to wait to have the other side done, because we were with a rv group and as it was, had to stay over an extra day to get the job done. It took them about 7 hours to do it. Can't decide now whether to get the other side done, or get rid of the truck. Of course, we've have to replace the truck, or we couldn't tow our 5th wheel!! GM sucks anymore.
