After weighing the options, I think I'm gonna have it fixed. Called around today and got estimates from the local Chevy dealer and GMC dealer which both came in around $5K.

The service adviser at Chevy seemed to know exactly what I was talking about when I dropped the buzz words "Duramax" and "head gaskets".

"Yep, done a bunch of 'em." Splendid.

Oh well, gotta be done.
