Thats the problem i've ran into, I bought my truck new in 99' selling myself on the higher price of the diesel because the thinking at the time was that with normal use it would give me double the life of a gas truck. I think that used to be the case but with the new emissions standards and manufacturers constantly trying to one up eachother they have pushed these things so close to the limit that 3-4-5 hundred thousand miles is more the exception rather than the rule now.
