I'm still trying to figure out what this mean to US as Chevy owners? I'm a bit lost here? Is there some kind of system on each vehicle that is reading out incorrect information, or was this "software" used at the factory when vehicle left the plant?
When Indiana still had automotive annual inspections, they stuck a pipe with a sensor up the tail pipe and it read what was actually discharged out the tail pipe. Indiana has long since discontinued annual vehicle inspections. So, I'm not sure what this implies.
Does this mean, if I took my truck to another state and they read the computer output for my emissions it would be different than if they stuck the stick up the pipe?
Fill me in please?
