Duramax problems
Seen freind at work have not seen in a while. Bought a chevy dully few yrs back. Said had to put new or rebuilt allison 4100$ and now has head problem 3100$ i guess one side. Vehicle has 125,000 miles...

The only problem with the Cummins is the Dodge body that goes with it. I have had two Rams in the past and I have had more body problems than anything. Salt is especially unfriendly to them. I know a lot of guys with the Cummins, those engines take a heck of a beating. I have seen them mod them to no end and they keep going.
I am afraid to mod mine. I know the head gasket problem will creep up one day, but I say just keeping up good maintenance and not abusing her will make it last a long time....
