Our 03 Duramax/Allison Silverado just had a failed #2 injector with 99,325 on it. Stuck shut while towing our 5th wheel in Georgia. Made it to the rv park and had a Chevy dealer replace all 4 on the left side. When we got home, we took it to an independence diesel mechanic and had the right side done, and noticed blue smoke at idle within the first 100 miles or so. Just took it back this week and after a scan, found the #7 injector was bad (Bosch reman). The mechanic made it good and ordered four more and put in for us. This truck has always been well maintained, synthetic oil, and we really like the truck. Gets good milesage, 21-22 solo and averaged 13.5 towing our 5th wheel on a 3200 miles trip through Tennessee, Georgia, South and North Carolina. Disappointed that we had this injector issue, but understood a lot of those model years had problems. GM extended the warranty to 200,000 miles, but limited it to 7 years. Ours only had 99,000, after 10 years. To me, the miles are more important than the years.
