Yes it's quite easy with a programmer to get around TQ management, but that doesn't always mean it's been disabled. Generally the throttle sensitivity and low end fueling are modified to get the low end torque up. It can be very hard on stock transmissions if the trans isn't tuned to go with that.
It's all in marketing names, just like 2µ fuel filter kits... they are all the rage despite that fact that their aren't any actual 2µ filters being used.
This is on my 2005 Ram. I don't run with the low end tq on. My trans is stock and original. The tuner has been on it for around 8 years or so. I run 100% of the time on the extreme setting towing or not.
