The duramax has been a stout motor, I took a stock 09 to 630hp and drag raced it for two years with no issues. The only thing that happened was a blown inter cooler boot.

Sure is a great time to be alive if you're a gear head!!
It's tests like this that always make me giggle when someone is claiming how you're gonna destroy your engine with small tunes.

Pretty amazing for a stock engine with only turbo and injector mods. As Gale said no crank on the floor or heads through the ceiling. I watched a 12V Cummins turn similar numbers at the rear wheels on a dyno with sparks coming off the rollers. I was however a highly modified engine.

H&S did this to the LML years ago. They pushed it to nearly 1100 HP and over 1900 lbft of torque.
