Great story Rockhillmanor! True selfless class!
Here's the other side of men backing up....
My brother's family does not camp or RV. But they do have a nice sized boat. My brother will not back a trailer unless forced. He just doesn't get the concept. At the boat landing, his wife has to back up the boat. And it's way worse when pulling the boat out. It's comical. I've tried teaching him, but his patience level and willingness to learn is very low. He is 38 yrs old, and an all around bad driver anyway.
I have no problems backing anything up. I don't like my wife "spotting" for me. She tries to tell me how to do it even though she can't back anything up. Her depth perception is terrible. The only time I need a spot is a tall long trailer that I can't see directly behind. I just need to know how far back I can go. Otherwise I'll stuff a 40ft trailer in a 41ft box, from an angle....mirrors are all that are needed.
