I towed two travel trailers, one of them to Alaska and back, with nothing more than a friction sway control. Worked fine. There is no way I would pay a huge amount of money for anything else. I did have load leveling bars.
I just remembered one other way to eliminate sway. Buy a fifth wheel. :) . . . but I'm going back to a tow behind, so I'll be keeping up with this forum.
