Eagle cap 1165

There is a guy on my Eagle Cap forum selling an 1165. He currently hauls it with a F350 dually.

I believe a Ford F450 or equivalent will do the job or even a F550. I would not go less than a F450 or equivalent though. I own a 2010 1160. Looked at the 1165 extensively gave up on that unit after seeing the weight and the width of it (4" wider than a normal TC). They sure do look roomy though. I really like the island and the fact that you can get into the cabover without climbing over someone.

Truck Camper Magazine puts the wet weight at 5,900+. That is the far upper level of DRW trucks

Holy Cow!!

Just checked the Eagle Cap website that thing will weight over 5000 lbs even lightly loaded. Definitely dually.....possibly bigger.
