Right freaking on!!! A half a mill rig with a 6.4 Ford diesel engine between the rails!!!!
I wonder if they discount down to a 1/4 of a mill for the 6.0 EarthRoamer? LOL :S
Everybody here gets 40% off msrp so high $200k tops. Fifteen year note, tax write off an boom this is middle class fodder. :D - Turtle_n_PeepsExplorerRight freaking on!!! A half a mill rig with a 6.4 Ford diesel engine between the rails!!!!

Better said is that there are similar alternatives for those with a smaller budget. I know people who have traveled the world with a diesel pickup and a truck camper and covered Africa, Central and South America, Europe, and now Asia is next. They have a shower and all the amenities.
If I were rich I would buy one, only after donating most of my wealth to charitable organizations. In the meantime, a used 4X4 Class B with lots of solar and batteries that can fit in a cargo container on the cheap would have to do. I think the views will be the same. So what if I can't get to the top of Everest. - mich800ExplorerSo the underprivileged people hauling around the $60k+ fivers and toy haulers on here have a problem with how the other half spend their money?

Wow. Since when do the filthy ultra rich want to get filthy dirty in the bush. Oh yea safaris were popular for a while in the day. The 1% would never be caught in a normal RV but a silly mega rig like this - Jeeves bring me my tilly.
Well, I know a member of a group w/ super expensive off-road RVs. They take some serious trips, I'll tell you that. They put their RVs on boats, then fly over and drive them some pretty incredible places. Expeditions in Siberia, across Northern Canada, and South America in the last few years.
And why all the hate about the price of the RV? Who cares? Would you rather they spent their money on diamonds?
Same here, but not super expensive. You can do all of the above on a much less expensive platform - TystevensExplorer

With the Ford chassis, the cab has to come off to get the engine out. This means that Earth Roamer has to remove the RV from the truck chassis before Ford can start the repair.

No repairs on that motor require removing the cab. It only saves labor on most body configurations. The power train can can also come out the front, just like on the vans. - TXicemanExplorer IIWe had an Earth Roamer stop at the state park where we were hosting. The folks had been all over, but were headed back to the factory if they could make it. Seems the 6.4L Power Stroke had developed a slight head water jacket leak.

Did he say $470k?
That would buy a nice diesel pusher and a jeep toad.
Sure would. But good luck getting the pusher coach across rough terrain. The jeep is great for site seeing, but not for overlanding. But the time you throw a roof top tent on it, and some decent recovery gear, its already overloaded. And... sometimes wifey wants a shower.
Maybe you missed my point..... $470K Byran
