So you're saying that if I went looking for a 2 year old (2016) Ram 2500 6.4 MSRP of $50K that I could get one for $20-25,000?
Please tell me how. I've actually been looking at Autotrader lately and nothing is that cheap regardless of which brand unless it's got 60-90,000 miles on it.
Yeah, you gotta go high miles to get a good deal, and probably have to source from outside the NW. With the construction-economy cranking like it is, trucks especially are hard to come by. I helped a good friend source a 2015 Navigator. Had to come from New York. Anything in the NW was holding way to much value.
Those claimed deals are hard/impossible around here as well. And I have no desire to buy a car from the midwest or northeast where you have salt/rust problems.
When I bought my Yukon, I looked at a 3 year old, 80,000 mile Escalade in Iowa. Underside had terrible surface rust.
If you can find something for 50% off a 2 year old vehicle, there is a reason it is priced so low.
I've been looking for a 2 year old Big Horn with a 6.4, and when you see them they are $38k, with 40k miles, or you can get a new one for $42K. If I could get one for $32k or so I've grab it. Only ones I've seen close to it, you can tell have been worked hard.
