The 2.7 is a good engine, you can safely tow up to 5000 pounds unless it has the payload package, then you are good for up to 7000 pounds. You will get good MPG when not towing too. Just make sure the one you are looking at has the service records and that the oil was changed regularly. I have experience with the 3.5 EB and after 6 of them, can tell you they don't like short trips as gas gets in the oil unless it is driven for long periods, meaning 30 minutes or more to get fully hot. I have put about 200K or more between them all, and never had an engine issue. They are very strong reliable engines when cared for.
