Almost too good to be true. I wonder if this was hand calculated or were they going by Rams infamous Lie-O-meter.
Off topic but I read an article recently from some engineers that stated hand calculating was inaccurate due to never knowing when full is full and how much gas volume changes with temperature.
The engineer stated the computer needs to know exactly how much fuel it is injecting into the engine at all times in order to meet emissions so it is much more accurate than hand calculating.
I know that's counter the prevailing thought on the net.
I was hoping RAM would increase the payload to at least 10% over the 1/2 ton trucks rating but the 3900 pound axle rating stays even though the engine is heavier.

If one fills to the same level each time, it has to be more accurate than most lie-o-meters I've seen in the Chevy's and the Ram's....though some have been closer than others, but again....If I fill each time to within ounces of the same place each time...still going to be accurate, (I'm an Engineer and disagree with the above engineer..no big deal, but for accurate mpg, I'll stick with hand calculating):)...
1/2 ton has it's place for whatever, just like the 2500, 3500 SRW and 3500 DRW trucks, simple math and common sense is mostly all one needs to match up the truck with what they want to use it for.
