I'm surprised the temps hit 244F on that climb.
I wonder if the 3.92 gears would've helped keep things a bit cooler.
Then again, it could probably run 244F for days on end with no negative long-term effects, as oil & coolant have come a long way.
I've quit fretting that my 5.4L F250 runs 220-225F; its run those temps (per ScanGauge II) since I bought it and purrs along without issue.
