at that point you are needing to be in the range of a 2500 truck. the diesel in the 1500 is not to make it a great TV it is to get better MPG. most people that buy a 1500 truck are not towing RVs they use it to go to home depot and maybe tow a small trailer or boat. its still a 1500 truck and not designed to tow or hold the heavy loads, that is what the 2500 and 3500 is for
