Would dealers order that many if they didn't have confidence in the product ?
Even if its never more then a nich product only Ram can do this, nobody else would bother.
That a win for people that want a light duty pick up eh?
The payload on the popular, nicely equipped, SLT Quad Cab version of the Ram Ecodiesel is about 1,300 lbs. Hardly lacking for the AVERAGE, non RV.NET, buyer. Yes, I totally get it: 859 - 1,300 lbs. of payload will NOT suffice for many here on RV.NET. I understand why and totally empathize with their position.
However, one has to chuckle and respect all the various aspects of human nature, even when folks say this truck is DOA just because THEY, personally, don't have a use for it.
Hell, I even picked Denver to win. :R Only time will tell if this truck is going to be Denver or Seattle, a Yugo or a Toyota Corolla. :B
My point: being negative just for the sake of being negative is pointless. It's really not about failure per se. It's much more about presenting a balanced, fair perspective--trying to walk in another person's shoes to appreciate the value of something from their perspective--the art of empathy.
