Sounds like pay-off for hybrid option on a car is a lot quicker than the pay-off for the diesel option on a class 3 truck.
Of course when discussing the truck talking pay-off sets hair on fire.
Nice try chief…. I know you’re sore that diesel pickups are outta your budget, or something similar that causes you to be sore about those with diesel pickups… but you’re sorta right, the payoff for the diesel doesn’t really happen until the day you sell it and get all your extra money back….assuming you didn’t save anything on the total cost of fuel vs amount of work done, throughout your lifespan of the truck.
No hair to catch fire here, I’m bald, but I sure do enjoy the effortless diesel power, and the bonus of selling my last 3 diesels for close to or the same as what I paid for them 100-200k miles later is just the icing on the cake.
I know that doesn’t happen for everyone. Gotta buy smart and sell right and some of that is luck, but one constant is the value of that hunk of iron under the hood that holds its value.
Unless you bought a 6.0 or 6.4 Flowerjoke. In which case I’m sorry/not sorry.
Oh, forgot, what the heck does comparing a hybrid grocery getter to a diesel 1 ton do anyway? ( I know, you were just bitterly lamenting and stirring the pot at the same time…)
That’s like saying the payoff on your refrigerator is better than the payoff on your stove.
I mean they both do stuff to food for you but just because they’re both located in the kitchen doesn’t mean anything….
