Electric scissor jack question

I have a question about the lowering of my powered Lippert scissor jacks on my new TT. Are they supposed to go down in tandem (not front and back, but each side, front and back)? Or do they operate independently? I have one side go down, and the other sort of hangs there, until I give it a push with my foot. Was wondering if one goes down until it meets the ground, then the other goes down until it, too, meets the ground, and it firms up on both sides. May save me a trip to the dealer...

    That's how they are designed to work. No need to "assist" with you're foot

    That's how mine works. If you look underneath you can see how they equalize.

    Mine works like that also and I believe that is the correct operation. When they both contact the ground I wait until they are snugged up and the trailer raises about an inch then I remove my finger from the switch. On retraction I stop just short of them contacting the frame. Kept my finger on the switch a little to long after contact and blew the fuse.

    Some of the time mine drop down at the same time and other times they seem to operate independently until one of them touches the ground then the other moves. This is normal operation.

    My Lippert electric stab jacks go down together side to side until the first one hits something "hard". Then it waits for the other to hit something "hard". Then they seem to push equally.

    If one side doesn't goes down through the air, I suspect it has some kind of resistance. Start with an inspection and lube.

    I don't have any idea if that's how its suppose to work, but I would think anything you have to kick to get started is not working correctly. I would look into it. Owners manual, web sight for your product or ask the guys you bought the trailer from .
